This film showed me that truth--when sought with a devoted heart--will not be refused. - Luke, Flagstaff, USA

I am becoming a Social Studies teacher and may use it for teaching purposes. - Marie, Pittsburgh, USA

This movie showed me what the power of Grace can do on the earth. One man, who relied on Christ for strength, fought what many viewed as an impossible fight, and won! It also reminded me that there is still work to be done in the fight to end slavery. God bless this film, and God bless you all who worked on this remarkable piece! - Steven, Greensboro, USA

This movie made me think that we're all equal. I had already known this for quite some time, but sometimes we lose sight of what our values are, and allow ourselves to be too easily persuaded. This reminds us that as chrisitans we shouldn't preach religion. Instead, just go out and be with people who need you. Jesus said that true religion is caring for orphans and widows in their time of need, and keeping ourselves untaunted by the world. I hope that one day I can say that I do that, but for now I'm working. God bless your own efforts. - Odessea, Sacremento, USA

It was really touching! I liked it a lot. - Angela, Sydney, Australia

It was just how its name puts it, amazing. I loved it and i cannot wait until November 13 when it comes out on DVD! - Daniel, Richmondhill, Canada

This movie has again showed me that Freedom is very important for the nations which do not have it. Before abolishing slave trade, William told Pitt that he wants to change himself first. He changed himself, then he changed the views of his surroundings about slave trade and at the end he changed the views of all the MPs in the Parliament. I would like to refer to Gandhi's famous quote: "Be the change yourself, in order to change the world." This film is a perfect example of how one person can make the changes about in what he believes is right and just. William believed that every individual is created equal but different, that is why he proved everyone in the Parliament that the slaves are human beings and their rights cannot be taken away from them. - Ruslan, Baku, Azerbaijan

My husband and I saw this movie five times. We are living historians that re-enact this time period in a five state area. We were thrilled and moved with this production each and every time we saw it. After the movie, we would stay and answer questions from the audience about what they had seen. My husband has since bought the biography of John Newton and studied him much further. We have been waiting impatiently for the DVD to come out so that we can show it to all our friends who didn't see the film. What a shame that so many missed it! It should be a required film for history/social studies classes. Well done!! - Carol, Woodburn, USA

I took some of my students to see this film. I was very impressed!!! We need lots more of this kind of films for the students to learn about the real hero's in history!!! - Kathryn, Portland, USA

My sister saw the movie in Dallas and told me I had to see it when in came to Tulsa (it never did). We went to a local bookstore in Wichita Falls, Texas so I could hear the song from the CD. She told me I would love it. Here's the picture, me with headphones on, tears running down my face and my 9-year-old nephew saying "are you ok?" I was more than 'ok.' The song performed by Chris Tomlin brought me to a worship experience in a bookstore. I have watched for the movie to play in my area ever since. I cannot wait to be able to purchase the DVD. It's been months since I purchased the CD, and I am still moved to tears hearing the power of the words of Amazing Grace followed by "My chains are gone, I've been set free." What a moving, inpiring, humbling word picture set to song! If the movie inspired the CD, then I have to see that movie. - Debbie, Claremore, USA

Although it was late at night when my husband and I finished the movie (we had rented it from the hotel we were staying at recently), Amazing Grace drove us to our knees in prayer. There was NO WAY we could just go to sleep! For the next hour we cried out to God for His help against every kind of slavery still going on today and that He would raise up a nation of William Wilberforces to bring down this giant. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord! Zechariah 4:6 Only after this time of intercession did we feel "free" to close our eyes in sleep. But isn't that what it must be for those of us who are free...that we allow ourselves not to be free from the responsibility to those who are enslaved? We cannot be free from the cries and the abuse and the inhumanity that is still going on today. We must fight! - Paula, Ypsilanti, USA

Amazing. That's the word I would use to describe this movie. It's definately on my top list. Even though it takes place so long ago, the values and principles hold true today. God was, is and always will be there for His people. It's up to us to decide what to do with our lives. He's waiting for us to choose Him. And thank God Wilberforce did. - Mechelle, Naperville, USA

Eu não sei se voces tem alguem para traduzir o que estou enviando, mas não custa tentar. Eu já conhecia a Historia de Jhon Newton, e me impactou muito, e tenho certeza de que continuará impactando por muito e muito tempo. - Lazaro, Uberlandia, Brazil

I teach World History in a public school. Because of the film's impact, I made a report on William Wilberforce's life the only extra credit report possible. Can I purchase a DVD/Cassette of the film? I'd use it often. - Thomas, Canton, USA

Brilliant movie. Moved to compassion and anger; compassion for those who were/are used for the profit of the rich, and anger against those in positions of authority who misuse their authority for their own material gain. - Ryamond, Bendigo, Australia

It reminded me that it is possible to do great things with one's life. I knew that when I was younger, but the world works hard to grind that view out of you. - Nancy, New Brunswick, USA

I never realized until I saw the movie what disgusting and inhumane treatment slaves were given. You can read in a book, but until you can see it, does it become so real. The movie was an eye-opener that grabbed my soul. Even though I knew the outcome, his battle was so compelling. Like so many moral battles, it's the almighty buck that talks! It shows that anything is possible with God. - Sheila, St. Marys, USA

I can count on one hand the films that have impacted me as much. Amazing Grace truly touches the heart of all who seek honor and justice. The direction, acting, sets, everything-- reflects pure perfection. It is like a breath of life from the films that glorify the villains of death and destruction. I'm hoping for more films like this that inspire, entertain and enlighten. Kudos to the wise producers who know there is an audience that longs for films that uphold what is best in us as individuals to reveal that one person or a small group can change the world for the better. Those brave souls like Wilberforce teach us that we can make a difference if we hold tight to our honor and ideals. - , ,

Why isn't this film being nominated for the Academy Awards? It's by far the best this past year? Could it be because it involves Christ? If that is the reason, what prejudice! - Martha, Keller, USA

This movie touched me in the personal journey of Wilberforce to achieve what he did and the cost of doing so, but it also was a frightening look into the past and how we devalue our humanity to the rule of the dollar. - Annie, Sydney, Australia

I loved it. It taught me that no matter what color, what race you are that we were created equal. I was excited when I heard it was coming in June, but when I went back to where I had heard it from they said that they didn't have it. But now I'm very, very very excited to know that it will be out in November. It was Amazing. I can't wait!!!!! - Charlotte, Shiremanstown, USA

I loved the movie. It was profound! Thank you for producing a film of supperior content, acting and cinematography. - Nezrick, Mansfield, USA

I was inspired to "do the right" that God sets before me in my "corner" of the world. One person, following God's leading CAN make a difference. I do not watch movies to be entertained. I watch movies to be inspired. Amazing Grace is inspiring! Thank you!! - MaryAnn, Edgewood, USA

There were many outstanding moments in this movie. The most powerful was when John Newton told Wilberforce, 'I'm old; my memory is fading. I remember two things quite clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.' That moment sent chills down my spine. It reminded me of exactly what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross. He satisfied the debt we could never pay, and I'm so grateful to Him. This movie honored our Lord. It reminded us of the great love He has for each of us, regardless of our station in life or the color of our skin. Jesus is, indeed, a great Savior. Thank you for making this wonderful movie--I highly recommend it to everyone! - Sean, Stafford, USA

"Amazing Grace" was a movie that I had to see because I am a sucker for anything  involving British politics, period costumes, and Ioan Gruffudd. I think he is an incredible actor who does not receive the due respect he deserves in Hollywood. - , ,
